Study on shading performance of external aluminized film organ curtains

The effective internal shading can reduce the building cooling load and improve the indoor environment. Presents a novel concept of internal shading facility—external aluminized film organ curtain. Tests and compares the shading performances of traditional rolling shutter, traditional organ curtain and the novel organ curtain. By means of checking the theoretical value with the measured value, obtains the shading coefficients of the three curtains. The results show that the shading coefficient of the external aluminized film organ curtain is 0.15, which is the smallest and has best shading performance compared with the traditional curtains.
